- [Villa Kratt](https://www.tempt.archi/work/villa-kratt/): This residential house is located in Rannamõisa Village, Harju Country in Northern Estonia. The architectural design reflects the ambitious brief of both the client and architect: to create a warm and peaceful, private villa. The main area has an L-shaped design and provides a dynamic impact to the inner spaces. The shorter wing of the building accommodates a sauna complex and a relaxation room. Rooms in the longer wing lineup to the main directing wall. Here the located master bedroom has a separate wardrobe and bathing areas. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a glass wall which allows extended intimacy of the functional areas. Large windows unite these two spaces and connects them to the surrounding nature. Two additional bedrooms follow the line. A main wing ends with a spacious open space which connects the kitchen, dining area and living room using a soft furniture ensemble. The Inner yard is beginning from a terrace and a modern wooden colonnade, an extended roof creates a cozy space in between the house and garden. Only natural ecological materials were used for the external finishing of the house. Situated in a natural environment, this house is designed to blend with the traditional Estonian countryside landscape and nature. The main structure of the building was produced from wooden elements at the factory, which minimize impact from the building process to the surrounding area.

- [Tulbi Residence](https://www.tempt.archi/work/tulbi-residence/): This one-storey family house in Kiili, is a remarkable example of the use of wooden materials both inside and out. The main construction of this house is based upon a reinforced concrete slab foundation and is made of prefabricated wooden frame elements which are mounted together to create a solid structure. The exterior walls are mostly covered with dark-grey boarding. A colour accent is provided by ochreyellow wood panels and opening frames. The roof is covered with polished-grey rooftiles. The house is oriented from east-to-west, with a large terrace and living room facing to the south. In its 165m2, the house also features a kitchen, bedroom, cabinets, sewing-room and a sauna. On the west-side, a little separated, there is a technical room and a two car garage space. The building has good energy efficiency, with less than 120 kWh/m²a needed for the building. The buildings heating system is based on ground heating converted into an energy efficient underfloor water heating system.

- [Stortnok Residences](https://www.tempt.archi/work/stortnok-residences/): Stornok modular residences were designed to be placed on two sides of a mountain in picturesque Norwegian landscape, on the edge of Strandefjorden fiord in Førsøddin. Modules, which are developed for this project, are universal and fit in with all the parts of the plot with marked contrasts in directions and ground levels. 2- and 3-bedroom houses can be customized with additional garage module, terrace and few planning solutions. With flexible planning variations we aimed to allow residents to create very individual style of living that could incorporate all the needs of the various family types. All houses designed to be universally accessible. Contemporary outlook of the buildings combined with natural ecologically conscious materials to provide not only comfort but nature-connected living conditions. All main construction works were made at the factory, which minimize impact from the building process to surrounding areas. Cross-laminated timber was used as main constructive material. This contemporary timber concept decreases carbon footprint of the building being light and durable in same time.

- [Maxima XX mall](https://www.tempt.archi/work/maxima-xx-mall/): This architectural proposal for a new Maxima XX shopping center was initially designed by TEMPT as a competition entry. With ergonomic functional planning and distinctive facade elements, this project emphasises the XX concept of the shopping mall and our entry won the chance to be built. The facade elements are covered with rusted metal sheets. The main construction of the building was designed using a light metal shell covered with sandwich panels. Roofing windows were inserted within the wide roof of main part of the building to ensure the required natural light levels for interior spaces. A complex facade lighting system was also designed to emphasise the geometry of the facade lines. Site planning also included green zones, interconnecting pedestrian walkways and the required number of parking lots, a technical entrance area and adequate connections to the nearest public transport facilities.

- [Vääna-Jõesuu School](https://www.tempt.archi/work/vaana-joesuu-school/): Vääna-Jõesuu is a former really popular area for summerhouses with it’s pine forests, rivers full of fish and long sandy beach – but as it’s only 25km from Tallinn then nowadays is developing into a residential area. More and more young families are moving onto the area with children so Harku Commune decided to build them a school. Existing plot was an old pioneer camp with decaying buildings, the project was based on one of the larger buildings.

- [Tammetalu Residence](https://www.tempt.archi/work/tammetalu-residence/): The Tammetalu Residencial area is located 10 km from the Tallinn city centre, in the village of Kiili. The structure has two main directions; one side has a main entrance axis while the other side is directed towards the natural surroundings. The entrance, along with the garage is defined by the roof. The continuation of the entrance surfaces next to the garage which is inviting you to the inside of the building. The other side of the building with a terrace is directed towards the nature. The space is defined by the roof, the terrace is suitable for use in nature according to the seasons and it is an element that provides connection between the inside and outside of the structure. There are 3 bedrooms in the entrance section. The bathroom, WC and sauna are located after the rooms. The sauna has its own terrace area. The main room, with its large windows, has a beautiful atmosphere and view. The terrace is easily accessible from here. Two types of material have been used for the facade; wooden panels, glass, the roofing texture shingle harmonizes with the surrounding trees.

- [Kärga Cottage](https://www.tempt.archi/work/karga-cottage/): This wooden house sits perfectly integrated with its natural surroundings, with minimalistic decor and horizontal wooden structure on the outside. Large windows reflect the outside nature onto the glass. The idea was to create a new modern living space within the forest. High ceilings, large windows and plenty of light cascades into the rooms. White walls, light wood and dark wood on the floor makes this house both modern and comfortable.
- [Tower of Viljandi](https://www.tempt.archi/work/tower-of-viljandi/): This project and concept turns an old (built 1962) water tower into a luxurious apartment building. The existing tower is located in Southern Estonia in Viljandi. It was built during the soviet period during the 1960´s as an apartment building and a water tower hybrid. The new proposal was to extend the tower by 5 floors. The extension is 15x15 meters wide, made out of prefabricated wooden modules, with an extra staircase, hall and an elevator added to the side of the building. The added section is rotated by 30 degrees in relation to rest of the building. The extension includes a technical area and compact apartments range between 1-3 rooms. The smaller apartments are around 35-50 m², larger apartments are located in the upper floors, and are around 1010 m² in size. The great height of the whole building and large windows in every apartment provide a perfect panorama to the rest of the town. The apartments have open planning with a common living room and kitchen. The building will turn the oldschool crumbling structure into a new landmark for Viljandi reminding the proud citizens of their heritage and history.
- [Children’s corner at Tallinn Airport](https://www.tempt.archi/work/childrens-corner-at-tallinn-airport/): The situation in the children’s corner of Tallinn Airport was sad when TEMPT was invited to the rescue – in the shabby corner were some big cushioned cubes for children to stack on top of one another. Surely this was not interesting, so most of the children kept unsettling their parents or just ran around the airport. Waiting is boring and frustrating if you have nothing special to do.
- [Harku-Järve School Gym](https://www.tempt.archi/work/harku-jarve-school-gym/): The existing schoolhouse was built inside an old manor’s stables and octagonal limestone riding area with a tower. The School lacked a gym, but as the budget was small and the building situation was complicated, we combined simple boxes of wood, glass, stone and metal to find an easy, nice, functional, and cost effective solution. The New building consists basically of two parts, natural wood covered support facilities at the front, and a black metal gym box at the rear. The main street orientated facade is partitioned to offer a more organic look and the washrooms have circular windows. The gym remains (and holds) a minimalistic line. In between the old and new buildings is a micro-garden for children to enjoy.
- [Glass Factory](https://www.tempt.archi/work/glass-factory/): Our main goal was to design a simple, economical and an attractive building which also complements the brand of the leading Estonian glass producer Klaasimeister.   The concept worked perfectly, and we have since added two further extensions without having to compromise the complete building’s architectural outlook, on both occasions we recycled almost all the wall panels and windows. The main area includes three parts, two of the areas are designated for industrial production providing sufficient natural light to reach the inside the building, numerous windows were planned for the roof and walls. One unit has been designated for office spaces for the management section of the company. The complete area consists of two floor levels, where large interior and exterior windows connect the inside and outside of the building. The building is located alongside the second most important road in Estonia the Tallinn-Tartu highway, located in a highly visible position the Klaasmeister factory building has now become a significant and well known landmark.
- [Apartment buildings Viktor and Olga](https://www.tempt.archi/work/apartment-buildings-viktor-and-olga/): This project consists of two apartment blocks with four floors. The use of windows on the facade display a dynamic solution for sourcing natural light. The various different shapes of the windows change in relation to the functionality of the different rooms. Simplicity and minimalism come into prominence as you continue through the inside the building. The Interior spaces are extremely simple and fresh. The use of colours on the facade gives a warm and cozy atmosphere. The buildings are named after Viktor Kingissepp and Olga Künnapuu (Lauristin). According to legends, Mr Kingissepp, who at the 1920s was the country’s number one enemy (local underground communist party leader), and Olga used to have their conspiracy houses in this location.
