Sculpture of Gustav Suits

Be Estonians but let´s become Europeans” – said once, an Estonian poet and literature researcher Gustav Suits, whose head is standing on top of Tallinn European School. The head symbolises mister Suits with his iconic spectacles, a moustache and the spark (in estonian – “säde”) coming from his head. The spark relates to the ideas power and a brain-storm, which should be inspiring for the school pupils and also for the people passing by.

The stainless steel head is 3 meters high, is turned towards Tallinn´s old town. Whole structure is around 7 meters high. The sculpture becomes especially attractive during the night, when the lights will be turned on and the head starts to shine.
